About JJ

A little lore, a little lipstick, a lot of stage smoke.

Leeds • lights up, fangs out

JJ Connor is the frontwoman of Lesbian Bed Death — gothic rock with a heartbeat: horror romance, heavy riffs, and hooks that cling like perfume on black lace.

On stage, JJ’s energy is part ritual, part confession. She’ll lure you in with velvet-soft lines, then bite down with a chorus that hits like a curse you secretly wanted.

Vibe Dark • Romantic • Theatrical
Signature Haunting hooks + bite
Live Smoke • Strobe • Spellwork

Live Performance

Where the voice becomes a weapon (and the crowd volunteers willingly).

Satan’s Cellar

A gothic rock love letter to the beautifully damned — seductive melodies, horror atmosphere, and JJ Connor leading the ritual. Put it on loud. Pretend you’re not smiling.

Q&A

Curiosity is welcome. Disrespect gets hexed.

How did you start singing?
I started the way most dramatic goth kids do: singing too loudly to prove a point. It became a comfort thing first — then a “wait… I can actually do something with this” thing. Over time it turned into storytelling: using a voice to build rooms people can walk into.
What’s your ideal vacation?
A haunted coastal town in winter. Black coffee (or tea, obviously), long walks, dramatic skies, a book that ruins me emotionally, and a pub that looks like it’s been there since the plague. Bonus points if there’s a weird local legend and a castle nearby.
What do you want people to feel at an LBD show?
Seen. Hypnotised. A little dangerous in a safe way. Like you’ve stepped into a film where you’re the main character — and the chorus is your revenge scene.
Dream collaboration?
Anyone who understands theatrical darkness — the kind of artist who can be romantic and feral in the same breath. Big atmosphere. Bigger hooks. No half-measures.
Tea order?
Strong. Comforting. Slightly judgemental. (Just like me.)
